    Sensex crosses 52900

    Stock market continued to rise for the second consecutive day

    Mumbai: On the last day of this trading week, both BSE Sensex and Nifty 50 have closed with gains. At the close of trading, Sensex has closed above 52900 and Nifty has closed above 15850. IT stocks like HCL, Tech Mahindra got support on Sensex. However, today Reliance was the biggest seller on the Sensex. Talking about Nifty, except Nifty FMCG, other sectoral indices closed with gains and Nifty Bank was up 1.54 per cent and Nifty Metal by 2.61 per cent.

    The Sensex opened at 52,877.16 points during trading today and reached 52,973.07 points during trading. At the close of trading in the Sensex, it closed at 52,925.04 with a gain of 0.43 percent or 226.04 points. Today 20 stocks closed with gains on the Sensex, while the remaining 10 stocks closed with a fall. Reliance was selling on the Sensex while Tata Steel and SBI-Axis Bank were buying.

    Talking about Nifty 50, it closed at 15,856.35 with a gain of 0.42 percent or 65.90 points. On Nifty, 34 stocks closed with gains while the remaining 16 stocks closed down.

    Tata Steel and Axis Bank were the biggest buy in today’s trading day on BSE Sensex. Tata Steel rose 4.65 per cent to Rs 1165 and Axis Bank gained 3.02 per cent to close at Rs 761.35. After Axis Bank, SBI closed at Rs 428.75 with a gain of 2.79 per cent on the Sensex.

    Reliance and NTPC were the top sellers on the Sensex today. Reliance declined 2.28 per cent to Rs 2104.30 and NTPC declined 1.69 per cent to Rs 116.05. After this, HUL closed at Rs 2449.15 with a fall of 1.64 per cent.
