Mumbai: The market capitalization of six of the country’s ten largest companies increased by Rs 1,11,220.5 crore. Last week, the total market valuation of these companies increased by more than Rs 1 lakh crore. Tata Consultancy Services and Infosys were the frontrunners in this race. Market valuations of Tata Consultancy Services, HDFC Bank, Infosys, HDFC ICICI Bank, State Bank of India registered gains, while the market capitalization of Reliance Industries Hindustan Unilever, Bajaj Finance and Kotak Mahindra Bank declined.
The market capitalization of Tata Consultancy Services increased by Rs 30,961.06 crore to Rs 12,50,538.30 crore last week, while that of Infosys increased by Rs 29,807.59 crore to Rs 6,70,915.93 crore. HDFC Bank’s market capitalization increased by Rs 19,838.88 crore to Rs 8,36,426.69 crore. The market capitalization of State Bank of India increased by Rs 14,234.76 crore to Rs 3,82,642.72 crore. ICICI Bank rose by Rs 12,775.99 crore to Rs 4,49,166.77 crore.
Reliance Industries faced a decline in terms of market capitalization. The market capitalization of Reliance Industries increased by Rs 76,548.77 crore to Rs 13,34,009.02 crore. HUL’s market capitalization increased by Rs 7,424.7 crore to Rs 5,75,449.55 crore. At the same time, the market capitalization of Kotak Mahindra Bank increased by Rs 5,084.82 crore to Rs 3,43,934.41 crore. The market capitalization of Bajaj Finance declined by Rs 763.55 crore to Rs 3,66,662.44 crore. The Sensex rose 1.10 per cent last week.
