Finance Desk – Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced several important plans in the 2024 budget to help people get homes, improve villages, and support women and areas affected by natural disasters.

The government will spend ₹10 lakh crore to build houses in cities for 1 crore families who don’t earn a lot or are from the middle class.

₹2.66 lakh crore will be used to make rural areas better, like building roads and other important structures.

The budget sets aside over ₹3 lakh crore for programs that help women and girls.

The government will start a new phase of the PM Gram Sadak Yojana to build roads that last all weather for 25,000 rural places.

States like Assam, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand that often deal with floods and landslides will get money and support.
