Lucknow : ‘Udar Samvad Shrankhla’ organized under Mission Shakti Abhiyan, with Rotary Club by ‘Women and Child Security Organization, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow’, today at TD Girls Inter College, Gomti Nagar. In this program, students and parents enthusiastically participated.
Additional SP Virender Kumar, Additional SP Niti Dwivedi and Deputy SP Monika Yadav interacted with the girl students and attendees and explained the functioning of the 1090 and the women safety related facilities provided by the helpline.
The program was conducted by Rotary Club Assistant Governor Bharti Gupta. She informed that this program is an awareness program. Women can call on the 1090 helpline to avail various facilities / assistance, whether it is in the form of a complaint or to report any inappropriate work related to women. The 1090 team is working to protect 24 x 7 women.
The chief guest of the program, Neera Rawat, ADG, Women and Child Safety Organization, UP, Lucknow, said, “Every girl on the street has the right to be respected. We have to teach our girls self-defense, self-respect, while teaching others how to respect women or girls. The most important thing is to change your thoughts and explain to others how to respect everyone. It is our endeavor through this dialogue that our voice reach from house to house as change starts from home.”
The highlight of the program was a martial arts self-defense demonstration skit by the TV Sports Academy students and a poster and slogan competition for female empowerment 1090 collaboration by the students of the school.
