Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said on Monday that the government’s self-reliant India package of Rs 27.1 lakh crore to counter the Kovid-19 epidemic has encouraged structural reforms. Sitharaman proposed to start a self-sufficient health program with an outlay of Rs 64,180 crore in the general budget. He said that this would be in addition to the National Health Mission. The Finance Minister also said that there are two Covid-19 vaccines in India and two other vaccines will be offered soon. He said that the government has increased its resources for the benefit of the poorest sections.
The Finance Minister said that this budget is going to find opportunity in the disaster and this year there is hope for a big improvement in the economy. He said that this budget will help in maintaining the recovery of the economy.

1.41 crore for Urban Clean India Mission, Mission Nutrition 2.0 will be launched. 35,000 crore for Covid vaccine, health budget has been increased from 94,000 to 2.38 lakh crore.
