    New Delhi: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is presenting the General Budget 2021 today. Instead of briefcases and bookkeeping, she is presenting the budget from the tablet. Slogans are being raised during the speech of the Finance Minister in Parliament. This is the first budget after the Coronation period. Let us know that ordinary people have a lot of expectations from this budget.

    In this budget, the government has given a lot of emphasis on the health sector and infrastructure, the budget of the health sector has been increased from 94,000 crore to 2.38 lakh crore. At the same time, many big announcements have been made regarding roads and highways.

    Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said on Monday that the government’s self-reliant India package of Rs 27.1 lakh crore to counter the Kovid-19 epidemic has encouraged structural reforms. Sitharaman proposed to start a self-sufficient health program with an outlay of Rs 64,180 crore in the general budget. He said that this would be in addition to the National Health Mission. The Finance Minister also said that there are two Covid-19 vaccines in India and two other vaccines will be offered soon. He said that the government has increased its resources for the benefit of the poorest sections.

    The Finance Minister said that this budget is going to find opportunity in the disaster and this year there is hope for a big improvement in the economy. He said that this budget will help in maintaining the recovery of the economy.

    Some big announcements

    1.41 crore for Urban Clean India Mission, Mission Nutrition 2.0 will be launched. 35,000 crore for Covid vaccine, health budget has been increased from 94,000 to 2.38 lakh crore. Focus will be on new diseases. – In the next five years, the second phase of Swachh Bharat will be implemented with an expenditure of Rs 1,41,678 crore. Announcement of water life mission for 4,378 urban local bodies with an expenditure of 2.87 lakh crore rupees. In addition to the National Health Mission, a proposal to start a self-sufficient health program with an outlay of Rs 64,180 crore.

    Important points of budget speech

    • 5.54 lakh crore rupees in capital expenditure.
    • Health budget increased from Rs. 94,000 crores to Rs. 2.38 lakh crores.
    • Prime Minister self-reliant health scheme will be started.
    • 1,100 km highway will be built in Kerala.
    • 675 km highway will be built in West Bengal.
      19,000 crore highway plan released in Assam.
    • 1.97 lakh crore rupees will be spent on production based scheme (PLI) in the next five years starting this financial year.
    • The government will bring a bill to set up a development finance institute with a capital of Rs 20,000 crore.
    • Announcement of a voluntary vehicle scraping policy to remove old vehicles in a phased manner. Proposal of fitness test for private vehicles after 20 years.
