Coronavirus has impacted the economy in the most negative way. Many companies have laid off their employees or have asked the employees to take a salary cut. Uncertain future, outdated business model and inexperienced crisis management are also some of the causes for the downward trend of jobs. As they say, there lies an opportunity in every crisis. Similarly, coronavirus has led to creation of ample of work opportunities in e-commerce sector. So, why lose hope and sit idle at home when you can think about venturing into e-commerce startup space?

Here are some tips to help you start a new venture:
    1) Think about a product and service that is in high-demand in this lockdown. Is it grocery? Is it food supplies? Is it vegetables or fruits? Is it medicines? Is it education? If you are a pro at designing products, then go ahead and work upon your product idea that you can launch immediately. If you are good at serving people, then think about the best service that is good to introduce at this tough times without much investment.

    2) After you have finalized your business idea, now think about how you launch the idea online. For example, if you are thinking of helping elderly people to get their medicines and food supplies on time, think about the best way to reach out to them. First think about the elderly people in your locality. Are they on WhatsApp? If yes, start a WhatsApp Business account and tie up with the local shops to reach out the service to them. If not, then think about another category of customers like office-goers or college students who can partner with you to do this noble service.

    3) Don’t be afraid of failing or succeeding. If you succeed, well good enough. You can expand your online business to other areas where there is a need of such unique initiatives. If you fail, never mind. There is always a lesson to be learnt to improve your future move. History has shown that recessions are the foundation of creating big fortunes. Believe in your idea and get set going in creating your brand in the market.
