    Sensex ends life time high at 46,960.69 pts

    Mumbai: The equity market kept its supremacy for the fifth straight session on Friday as the BSE Sensex ended at a New peak at 46,960.69 up by 70.35 pts following gains in IT, Technology and Health Care stocks.

    The Nifty of national stock exchange too rose by 19.85 pts at 13,760.55.

    The day opened on a positive note at 47,026.02, rising by 136 pts and that remained days high before closing at 46,960.69, up by 70.35 pts from its previous close. Meanwhile, it was dropped nearly 260 pts to 46,630.31, days low.

    The sensex registered days high and low at 47,026.02 and 46,630.31 pts respectively.

    The Nifty recorded days high and low at 13,772.85 and 13,658.60 pts respectively.

    The sectoral indices that kept the rally intact were IT, Technology, Health Care and Consumer Discretionary Goods and Services stocks.

    In scrips, Bajaj Auto was a major gainer up by 2.43 pc to Rs 3350 followed by Infosys, SBI, Titan and ICICI Bank.

    However, selling in Indusind Bank, HDFC Bank, ONGC and Maruti Suzuki restricted from further gains, broker informed.

    The Mid Cap declined by 0.35 pc and Small Cap by 0.24 pc.

    In 30 scrips, 15 were advanced while 15 declined.
