New Delhi: Car maker Maruti Suzuki launched the CNG variant of its budget range, the popular car WagonR. The ex-showroom price of the WagonR BS6 S-CNG variant has been kept at Rs 5.32 lakh. The CNG model of the WagonR has been launched only in the LXI trim. This is the company’s third model launched with S-CNG technology.
Earlier, Maruti Suzuki has also launched the CNG model of Alto 800 (Alto 800) and MPV category car Artiga (Ertiga). The car is part of the company’s ‘Mission Green Million’ that the company announced at the Auto Expo 2020.
The CNG model of the Wagon R has a 1.0-liter, three-cylinder petrol engine. The engine in the car gives 58bhp power with CNG and 81bhp in petrol mode. Talk about torque, the car generates torque of 78Nm in CNG mode and 113Nm in petrol mode.
The S-CNG version of the car comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The car comes with Electronic Control Units (ECUs) and Intelligent Injection System. WagonR is the third car from Maruti Suzuki launched with S-CNG technology.
