About two years ago in 2019, Dena Bank and Vijaya Bank were merged into Bank of Baroda (BOB). After this decision, customers of Dena Bank and Vijaya Bank joined BOB. Now BoB has made another important change, under which the customers of Vijaya Bank and Dena Bank will have to use the new IFSC from 1 March. Giving information about this, the BoB said that the IFSC of Dena Bank and Vijaya Bank will be closed from 28 February. In such a situation, if your account is in both these banks, then get it changed as soon as possible because in the event of not doing so, you will not be able to transact money online from March 1.

IFSC (Indian Financial System Code) is an 11-digit code. The name of the bank is known from its initial four digits. The subsequent seven digits indicate the branch code. The IFSC of BOB starts with BKDN0. The fifth digit in it is zero.

The bank informed that from its branch, it can get check book with new MICR code by 31 March 2021. Apart from this, application can also be made for new check book through net banking / mobile banking. The MICR code is 9 digits on the check, which provides information about the check. The first three numbers reveal the city and the next three numbers reveal the bank’s information and the last three digits reveal the bank’s branch information.
