Gold fell by Rs 2106 in the last one week

New Delhi: The closing price of gold was Rs 48844 per 10 grams in Delhi Bullion Market last Friday, while on Friday this week it was Rs 46738. Thus, it fell by Rs 2106 for the entire week. The decline began on Monday with budget announcements and continued until Friday. Gold could not recover for the entire week due to the decision to cut customs duty. On the budget day, it fell sharply by Rs 1324 per 10 grams on Monday and closed down by Rs 163 on Friday.

Gold futures prices also fell this week. February delivery gold on MCX closed at Rs 49096 last week. Its closing price was Rs 48080 per 10 grams on this Friday. In this way, it fell by Rs 2016 in the whole week. It gained Rs 115 on Friday. If compared to the all-time high rate of gold, gold has become cheaper by Rs 9120 per 10 grams. In August last year, gold reached a price of Rs 56200.
