Japanese automaker Honda is preparing to introduce the facelift avatar of the new Honda WR-V by updating its vehicle line up in the Indian market. Recently, the company has also released a teaser of this crossover, in which this SUV looks quite changed. Not only is the company making cosmetic changes to the new Honda WR-V, but it is also using BS6 engine to conform to the new standards.
Honda recently introduced the market by updating its popular sedan car City with a new engine. The new Honda WR-V will be offered by the company with both petrol and diesel engine options. The company can also include new features in its different variants. As before, the company is using 1.2 liter capacity engine in its petrol version and 1.5 liter engine in diesel version.
Although its diesel engine will be turbo charged, all these engines are designed as per the new BS6 standard. Its petrol engine will generate 90hp power and diesel engine 110hp power. In both these engines, the company has included a 5-speed gearbox. However, no information has been available about whether it will be launched in the market with an automatic gearbox.
In the new Honda WR-V facelift, the company is using a new front bumper which gives it an even bolder look than the current model. Apart from this, black insert has also been given in the housing of black cladding and fog lamps. Apart from this, the redesigned grille, Fox skid plate and LED headlamps have also been included in it.
The company has also made a significant change in its interior, it will be given features like new upholstery, one-touch electronic sunroof, cruise control. Apart from this, features such as rear parking sensor, speed alert system, seat belt reminder will be included as standard in this SUV. In the Indian market, this crossover directly competes with the Maruti Vitara Brezza and the Mahindra XUV300.
