Chinese car manufacturer Geely has recently launched a car (Icon) for the Chinese auto market that will not let the virus even come close to the people inside.
Car Icon’s purification system launched by Chinese carmakers is N95 certified, which can prevent microorganisms such as viruses and bacteria from entering the cabin. It can block up to 95% of particles with 0.3 microns. The system works with an air conditioning system to keep the car’s cabin healthy and clean. Although coronavirus viruses are 0.05 to 0.2 μm in diameter, this new system introduced in CAR may not be able to completely stop coronavirus. However, the Chinese carmaker has claimed that over 30,000 pre-bookings for the new SUV have gone online.
The Greyly Icon features a 1.5-liter turbo petrol burner with a 48V mild hybrid system, which provides torque of 225 Nm and power of 184 BHP. For transmission, a 7-speed DCT has been added to it. At the same time, this car is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km per hour in 8 seconds. Talking about mileage, the company claims that this car is capable of delivering mileage of up to 17.5 kmpl.
Two 10.25-inch touchscreens are available on the dashboard of the cabin of the icon, which connects through the GKUI Geely Smart Ecosystem. Along with this, the Icon SUV also features L2 + intelligent driving technology that can be used by its 12 ultrasonic radars and 5 HD cameras. At the same time, it includes features like cruise control, lane keeping assistance, automatic emergency braking and 360 degree cameras.
