    New Delhi: Bajaj Electricals reported a net loss of Rs 81 lakh for the quarter ended March 31, 2020. The company incurred losses in the fourth quarter of the previous financial year due to poor performance in the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) segment.

    In a notice to the stock market on Friday, Bajaj Electricals said that the company had a net profit of Rs 23.08 crore in the same quarter of the financial year 2018-19. The company’s integrated operating income declined 26.73 per cent to Rs 1,300.66 crore in the January-March quarter of 2019-20 from Rs 1,775.18 crore in the same quarter a year ago.

    Bajaj Electricals’ revenue from EPC segment declined by 46.32 percent to Rs 553.80 crore in the quarter under review as compared to Rs 1,031.84 crore in the fourth quarter of 2018-19 a year ago. The company incurred a net loss of Rs 10.28 crore for the entire financial year 2019-20. It was Rs 153.58 crore a year ago in 2018-19. Its income stood at Rs 4,987.23 crore for the year under review as compared to Rs 6,679.41 crore in 2018-19 a year ago.
