    New Delhi: Mahindra & Mahindra, one of the country’s leading automobile companies, posted consolidated profit of Rs 1,635 crore for the quarter ended March 2021. In comparison, the company suffered a consolidated loss of Rs 588 crore during the quarter ended March 2020. The company has also announced a dividend for its shareholders at the rate of Rs 8.75 per share. Shares of the company closed at Rs 847, up 2.22 per cent after the results were announced.

    Mahindra & Mahindra has informed in a regulatory filing on Friday that its consolidated net profit during the last full business year i.e. FY 2020-21 has been Rs. 3,702 crore. In comparison, the consolidated net profit of the company was Rs 2,713 crore during the financial year 2019-20. The company earned a total income of Rs 21,456 crore from its operations during January-March 2021, while the company’s operating income was Rs 16,315 crore during the same period last year. Talking about the whole year, the total operating income of the company was Rs 75,382 crore in 2019-20, which has come down to Rs 74,278 crore in 2020-21.
