New Delhi: Vodafone Idea has announced the launch of premium video on demand service (PVOD) service on Vi Movies and TV app on Monday. This has been done under agreement with commotion. The telecom company wants to strengthen its position in OTT. Vodafone Idea (VIL) said in a statement that PVOD market in India is premature but promising. It further states that such models are changing in the post-new era of epidemics as customers are searching for alternative options of entertainment from a comfortable place at home.

The company said that VI Movies and TV Pay View models are an extension of its entertainment offering. The statement said that with the help of the current offer, users can view the content at no additional cost according to their recharge or postpaid plan. Pay per view launch is expanding this agenda, empowering users to pay for what they want to see and in the language they want to see. The agreement between VIL and Hungama aims to promote the growth of the digital ecosystem in India and give subscribers of telecom companies access to premium Hollywood films.
