The Trump administration on Tuesday announced a plan to limit visas issued to personnel with skills coming from abroad. Officials said the move was a priority amid the loss of jobs due to the Corona virus epidemic. H1B visa is very popular among Indians. This visa is very important especially among IT professionals. In such a situation, it is definitely a shock to Indians.

Officials of the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Labor said that new rules will be issued soon on who can get visas and how much they should be paid, which will limit the use of the H-1B program.

Acting deputy secretary Ken Cuccinelli said that DHS’s assessment that one-third of applicants would be denied under the new rule would limit the number of special occupations that exist for H-1B holders and the requirements that employers have more under the program Salary has to be paid.

President Donald Trump issued an order to temporarily suspend the H-1B program by the end of this year in July. Cuccinelli and Labor deputy secretary Patrick Pizzella said that the program has been misused by companies to place less expensive employees from abroad than American personnel.
