The Toyota Fortuner facelift has been launched in India. Now this SUV will be available in two trims Standard and Legend. The Fortuner Legender variants will only be called the Legender. The 2021 Toyota Fortuner costs about Rs 1 lakh more than its old version. The price of the new Toyota Fortuner will start from Rs. 29.98 lakhs. The 2021 Toyota Fortuner is offered in both manual and automatic transmissions. However, only the automatic transmission will be available in the Legender trim.
The Fortuner facelift has a 2.7 liter petrol and 2.8 liter diesel engine. The petrol engine produces 164 BHP power and 245 Nm torque. The diesel engine produces 175 BHP power and 420 Nm torque. There is a 6 speed manual and 6 speed automatic gearbox with both engine options. However, the diesel engine produces 201 BHP power and 500 Nm peak torque with automatic transmission. Diesel versions also have all wheel drive.
The 2021 Fortuner has a redesigned exterior. The SUV gets a new grille, new headlamps and bumpers. There are also some changes in the rear, under which new tail lamps have been given. 18 inch alloy wheels have been used in the vehicle. Talking about the Fortuner Legender, it has a more sporty look. It has slim LED headlights. There is a redesigned bumper in the rear. Dual tone alloy wheels have also been used in this variant.
The new Fortuner has an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system in both standard and legend trims. It supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The SUV has three riding modes Eco, Normal and Sport with features like connected car technology, 11 JBL speakers, subwoofer, ventilated seats. The Legender trim also features a powered tailgate with kick sensor and a wireless smartphone charger feature. Dual tone roof and turn indicators are also included in the Legender.
