New Delhi: The country’s two-wheeler manufacturer Hero is going to launch its popular bike Super Splendor in BS6 avatar soon in India. Which was seen in many new color options with BS6 Splendor Plus. The price of the new Super Splendor bike can be 6 to 7 thousand rupees more than the current BS4 model. At the moment, let us tell you what special changes will be seen in the design and features of the new bike:
The design of this bike has not been changed much as compared to the BS4 model, although it has redesigned headlamps with a chrome treated strip, while the silver color paint scheme on its engine and new taillamp unit were also added. Gaya, which is much larger than the BS4 model.
The new bike will have the same engine as the current Super Splendor, although it will be BS6 compliant. Let us tell you, the Super Splendor gets an air-cooled, single-cylinder fuel-injected engine of 124.7 cc, which generates power of 10.7bhp and peak torque of 10.7 Nm. This engine generates 0.4 bhp less power and 0.3 Nm less torque than the BS4 model. However, using the fuel-injection system, the new bike will get better throttle response than the BS4 model.
The Super Splendor BS6 weighs about 122 kg, and will have a fuel tank of 13 liters capacity. The bike has an option of 240 mm disc brake in the front and 130 mm drum brake in the rear. The Hero Super Splendor BS6 will use the company’s i3s technology, which is capable of increasing mileage by around 5%.
Talking about the price, the price of BS6 Super Splendor is expected to increase from Rs 6,000 to 7,000. The current model is currently priced at around Rs 61,186 (ex-showroom). According to the report, this bike will be launched around April.
