New Delhi: Indian vehicle manufacturers’ organization SIAM proposes to create ‘South Asia Vehicle Forum’. SIAM wants auto industry organizations and government representatives from the five countries of the region to participate in it.
The Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers Association (SIAM) said in a statement that the objective of creating this platform is to strengthen the vehicle industry and trade in the South Asia region, besides Bangladesh, India, Myanmar, Nepal, the five countries of South Asia. And to deepen and broaden the relationship between the vehicle industries of Sri Lanka.
SIAM said it made the proposal in the first meeting of the vehicle associations of the five countries recently. Apart from Siam in this meeting, Bangladesh Automobile Assemblers and Manufacturers Associations (BAMA), Automobile Association of Nepal (NADA), Myanmar Automobile Manufacturers and Distributors Association (MAMDA) and Ceylon Motor Traders Association (CMTA) partnered.
