    Reliance Industries’ market capitalization reduced by Rs 69,378.51 crore

    The market cap of five of the top 10 Sensex companies collectively declined by Rs 1,07,160 crore last week. Reliance Industries was the biggest loser. Market capitalization of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Hindustan Unilever, Infosys and ICICI Bank also declined. On the other hand, the market capitalization of HDFC Bank, HDFC Ltd., Bajaj Finance and Bharti Airtel increased. The 30-share BSE Sensex gained 439.25 points or 1.01 per cent in the previous week.

    In the week under review, the market capitalization of Reliance Industries declined by Rs 69,378.51 crore to Rs 12,84,246.18 crore. Similarly, TCS ‘market capitalization declined by Rs 4,165.14 crore to Rs 9,97,984.24 crore and Hindustan Unilever by Rs 16,211.94 crore to Rs 4,98,011.94 crore. Infosys market valuation declined by Rs 12,948.61 crore and it came to Rs 4,69,834.44 crore. ICICI Bank’s market cap declined by Rs 4,455.8 crore to Rs 3,33,315.58 crore.

    On the other hand, HDFC Bank’s market cap rose by Rs 18,827.94 crore to Rs 7,72,853.69 crore. HDFC’s MCAP increased by Rs 3,938.48 crore to Rs 4,19,699.86 crore, Kotak Mahindra Bank rose Rs 23,445.93 crore to Rs 3,73,947.2 crore, Bajaj Finance increased by Rs 20,747.08 crore to Rs 2,84,285.64 crore and Bharti Airtel 1,145.67 crore increased to Rs 2,63,776.2 crore.
