London: Renowned businessman and retired chairman of the Tata group, Ratan Tata has been awarded an honorary doctorate by the University of Manchester for his contribution to innovation and philanthropy.
The University of Britain said the 82-year-old industrialist was conferred the title recently during the visit of Vice Chancellor Professor Dame Nancy Rothwell to India. Rothwell said that Ratan Tata is very inspiring and he is an example for researchers, for big businesses and small enterprises.
