The company said in a statement that Paytm Soundbox has played an important role in establishing digital transactions as a secure mode of payment to digitally boost business and customer confidence. Due to this IoT based device, merchants do not need to do mobile checks repeatedly to confirm the payment. Due to this, the efficiency of the work of the traders has increased and at the same time it has helped in reducing the long queue of customers at their shops.
According to the statement, the confirmation through instantaneous voice payment has also helped traders to avoid fraudsters, who mislead traders by showing the wrong screen. This system helps them to keep an eye on all transactions easily. At the same time, small merchants possessing feature phones do not have to depend on SMS confirmation. It has also made the process of digital payment for home delivery easy and efficient as the delivery agent gets instant voice confirmation after QR-code based payments are made using the device.
The Paytm Soundbox 2.0 smart device allows merchants to record total collections with voice-based confirmation. This device will also give information by speaking about the battery being fully charged or no battery. It has a 2000 mAh battery. It also has the facility to install a SIM card and due to this it can be run without Wi-Fi connection as well.
