    New Health Insurance Scheme Issued For Government Employees And Pensioners

    Finance Desk – The Health Department has recently outlined a new health insurance plan specifically for state government employees and retirees.

    This health insurance initiative will be valid from July 1, 2021, through June 30, 2025, for current employees, and from July 1, 2022, to June 30, 2026, for pensioners. It aims to provide comprehensive medical coverage and benefits.

    Features:

    • The plan includes 203 different medical treatments and financial support for specific treatments has been raised from ₹7.5 lakh to ₹10 lakh.
    • In emergencies, employees can now receive treatment in hospitals outside the network. The limit for cashless treatment has been increased from ₹4 lakh to ₹5 lakh.
    • The scheme has expanded its network, now including 1,296 hospitals.

    Benefits for Pensioners:

    • Pensioners will receive support for particular diseases.
    • If a pensioner receive treatment outside the network, still they can claim reimbursements for up to 75% of their medical expenses.
