SBI Card Changes (Effective from 15 July 2025)
Minimum Amount Due (MAD) Formula Updated
The new MAD will include:
100% of GST
100% of EMI
100% of fees/charges
100% of finance charges
Overlimit amount (if any)
2% of the remaining balance
Order of Payment Settlement Revised
Your payments will be adjusted in this order:
GST → EMI → Fees → Finance Charges → Balance Transfer → Retail Spends → Cash Advance
Free Air Accident Insurance Discontinued
SBI Card ELITE, MILES ELITE, MILES PRIME (Rs 1 crore cover)
SBI Card PRIME and PULSE (Rs 50 lakh cover)
HDFC Bank Credit Card Changes (From 1 July 2025)
1% Fee on Online Gaming Spends (above ₹10,000/month)
Platforms like Dream11, Rummy Culture, MPL
Capped at ₹4,999/month
No reward points on gaming spends
1% Fee on Wallet Reloads (above ₹10,000/month)
Platforms like PayTM, Mobikwik, Freecharge, Ola Money
Capped at ₹4,999/month
1% Fee on Utility Bill Payments
Consumer cards: Fee applies if monthly utility bills cross ₹50,000
Business cards: Fee applies if monthly utility bills cross ₹75,000

Transaction Charges Capped (for rent, fuel, education)
Maximum fee: ₹4,999 per transaction
Reward Point Cap on Insurance Payments
Infinia / Infinia Metal: ₹10,000/month
Diners Black / Biz Black Metal: ₹5,000/month

American Express Update (From 12 June 2025)
No More Reward Points on Fuel for Gold Charge Card
No points on petrol, diesel, or CNG purchases
(Earlier: 1 point per ₹50 spent on fuel)
