Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer Honda has launched the new BS6 Honda Unicorn while updating its vehicle line up in the Indian market. The company has fixed the starting price of this new bike at Rs 93,593. This bike company has been launched as a replacement for the previous models CB Unicorn and CB Unicorn 160. Which is much more expensive than the previous model, the previous Unicorn 160 was priced at Rs 75,884 and the CB Unicorn was priced at Rs 80,741.
Let me tell you, Unicorn has been quite famous in the Indian market, and it is the first bike introduced by the company in the Indian market. In this, the company has used a single cylinder engine with a capacity of 162.71cc. However, the company has not shared any information about its power output. But if we talk about its BS4 model, this engine used to generate 14hp power and torque of 13.92Nm.
Experts believe that after the new BS6 update, the engine powerout of the bike must have changed. Apart from this, the company has given better ground clearance in this bike, its ground clearance has increased by about 8mm. Not only this, to improve the riding of this bike, its seat has also been increased to about 24mm. It also includes a single channel anti-lock braking system (ABS) along with a kill switch.
The new BS6 Honda Unicorn will be available in a total of three colors, including Pearl Black, Red Metallic and Matte Axis Gray Metallic Color. With this bike, the company is offering a full 6-year warranty. This includes a 3-year warranty as standard and a 3-year extended warranty. Honda Unicorn has been performing well in the Indian market for almost 16 years and has sold over 2.5 million units so far.
The Honda Unicorn BS6 has not only updated the engine, but also made cosmetic changes to its design. It features a new border front cowl, smoked screen, chrome garnish, semi-digital instrument cluster, chrome accents on the side and Honda’s 3D logo. In this bike, the company has used a countweight balancer, which provides better and smooth driving during riding. Its vibration has reduced significantly, and acceleration has also become much smoother than before.
