LUDHIANA : After proving to be a great boost to knitwear garment manufacturers the grand show in Ludhiana GMMSA EXPO INDIA 2020 concluded on Monday at Dana Mandi, Bahadurke Road. The Expo turned out to be a great show to get a glimpse of the manufacturing machines and accessories all under one roof. On the whole, the exhibition was a hub of innovation over the last four days and more than 50,000 people visited the exhibition.

GMMSA EXPO INDIA 2020 also facilitated the exhibitors for their participation and sought their support for next year 2021. Among the vast array of Chinese, Korean, Taiwanese and European machines that were on display, the Make in India ideal stands out among its contemporaries. Manufacturers have made it a point to display their indigenously manufactured machines at the exhibition.

This comes as a heartening move for India to become independent of foreign products. From knitting machines, to mini boilers to packaging machines; one could see Indian products standing proudly alongside foreign ones. Many domestic  manufacturers say that while it is cheaper to manufacture machines locally, there are some parts of the machines that need to be imported from countries like China.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Ram Krishan – Chairman, GMMSA EXPO INDIA 2020 thanked all the exhibitors and participants for showing their confidence in GMMSA and putting up a marvellous display of most modern machines & technology in garmenting. He also thanked the office bearers of team GMMSA EXPO INDIA for their valuable suggestions and cooperation in achieving appreciation from exhibitors as well as visitors from the industry.

Mr. Narinder Kumar – President GMMSA EXPO INDIA 2020 thanked the exhibitors as well as industry for their support. He further said, “This year the exhibition has been an even bigger success. We hope that it gets bigger and better over the years. The objective of this Expo is to provide latest technology and know-how at the doorsteps of the industry in the Manchester of India, Ludhiana.”

Mr. Amit Jain of Nav Pankaj Creations said, “The focus of the company is to make the garment manufacturing more cost effective. With multipurpose and high speed machines this cost effectiveness is achieved. We have thick thread, multi-head and chinnile machines. The market is eager to produce quality products in a more cost effective way.”

Mr. Gurpreet Singh of KP Exim Inc.said “Time saving machines help reduce costs and increase productivity. Our computerized knitting machines under brand Cixing operate at high speed of 140 resulting in less production time and increased productivity. We also have latest machines from Steiger that were launched in India now. These machines have pop up motorized feeders that reduce production time by 30 per cent,” he added.

The well organized stalls were a treat for those who visited. The display of value added features enhancing productivity as well as quality of the end product significantly reeled in many enquiries. Top notch brass of the industry from knitting houses, dyeing, finishing, processing houses marked their presence with their production and quality control teams.
