Scheduled to take place on February 29 with an all-inclusive trip to the Taj Mahal, this informal setup will serve as the backdrop to discuss some of the most critical issues in the Indian start-up ecosystem
Agra: TiE Delhi-NCR, one of the most vibrant chapters in the TiE global network, is all set to host ‘TiE Tours: Unconference on gogoBus’, a one-of-a-kind business trip that aims to leverage a unique setting to create differentiated entrepreneurial value. Scheduled to kick off from New Delhi on February 29, the unique day-long conference will provide key stakeholders in the Indian start-up ecosystem with an informal space to discuss some of the most pressing concerns regarding its future growth trajectory.
Amongst the attendees at the event will be prominent names from the Indian start-up ecosystem, such as Mr. Aloke Bajpai, Ixigo; Mr. Tej Kapoor, Fosun, Mr. Alok Bansal, Policy Bazaar, Mr. Nikhil pahwa, Medianama, Mr. Akshay Chaturvedi, LeverageEdu; Mr. Ankit Vaish, Probus; Mr. Hemant Kohli, mPayGo and many more.
Speaking on the event, Ms. Geetika Dayal, Executive Director, TiE Delhi-NCR, said, “Start-ups thrive on disruption, and what better way to highlight it than through a unique spin on the concept of a business conference? Through the ‘Unconference on gogoBus’ initiative, we aim to broaden the scope of what it means to connect, network, and engage with key stakeholders in the start-up ecosystem. The objective is to deliver a unique and engaging experience while facilitating productive discussions. We are looking forward to hosting the event and are confident that it will create differentiated value for the Indian start-up ecosystem on the back of stimulating conversations in an equally interesting format.”
Amit Gupta, Co-Founder, gogoBus, said, “ Unconference on gogoBus is a unique idea with which we aim to build an interesting knowledge sharing platform for startups and investors. The informal setup would aid flow of ideas and free discussions around issues of mobility in this first edition. We also want to break the myth around uncomfortable bus travel with the experience that gogoBus is all set to provide in this first meetup.”
The first session at ‘TiE Tours: Unconference on gogoBus’ will be on the theme of mobility in 2020, as well as the challenges and opportunities in the space. After the first session of insightful discussions around the growing need for sustainable and high capacity mobility solutions, the conference will break for refreshments, entertainment, games, and lunch – with a visit to the Taj Mahal scheduled to add more zest to the proceedings.
Discussions will resume post-break with the second session revolving around a critical concern for new-age entrepreneurs: are tech giants such as Amazon, Google, Facebook, and Alibaba nurturing innovation or hampering it? Focusing on how leading organizations build deeper moats with data and scale, and if this disincentivizes entrepreneurs from driving innovation, the session will discuss how emerging ventures can leverage and keep pace with top tech companies.
