Mumbai: Bajaj Auto said on Tuesday that two motorcycle models of the Husqvarna brand, to be launched next month, will be priced at Rs 1.80 lakh (in Delhi showroom).

The company said that the 250cc premium bike models are Swartpilen 250 and Vitpilen 250. Husqvarna is Sweden’s flagship brand and is part of the KTM group. Bajaj Auto holds a 48 percent stake in the group.

Both of these motorcycles were unveiled in India in December. Bajaj Auto executive director Rakesh Sharma said that the compound annual growth rate (CAGR) in the premium motorcycle segment in India has been around 19 percent during the last five years. Husqvarna motorcycles will be sold from KTM showrooms. Initially both these vehicles will be available in 100 showrooms in 45 cities. In the next five months, they will be sold from around 400 showrooms of KTM in 275 cities.
