    Bajaj Allianz Life simplifies claim process for Delhi’s riot victims

    New Delhi: Insurance company Bajaj Allianz Life has simplified the claim process for riot victims in North East Delhi. The company said on Monday that it would now have to provide at least documents to file claims.

    Bajaj Allianz Life said in a release that the company has set up a special help desk at the local office to expedite claims settlement for the people of the area. At the same time, the people of this region are accepting claims of death and crippling priority. To simplify the claim process for the insured, their nominees or legal heirs, the company has made a list of minimum mandatory documents.

    The company said that the deceased people for whom the certificate issued by the birth and death registrar is not available. The company is also recognizing for them a certificate issued by Delhi Police, Delhi Government, Government Hospital or strong forces engaged in rescue operations. In addition, the nominee or legal heir of the deceased must provide identification documents and bank account information. Also a photo of the deceased has to be given. It is noteworthy that more than 50 people have lost their lives in these riots in the last days of February.
