New Delhi: Amazon India has announced today that the company has announced to hire 20 thousand new people to give a great shopping experience to its consumers across the world. The company has provided employment opportunities in Hyderabad, Pune, Coimbatore, Noida, Kolkata, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Mangalore, Indore, Bhopal and Lucknow. Most jobs are part of Amazon’s ‘Virtual Customer Service’ program that offers options for work-from-home.
Newly appointed associates will help meet the needs of consumers, providing them a personalized and excellent experience through various mediums such as email, chat, social media and phone. For appointment to these posts, it is necessary that the candidate has passed at least 12th standard and is proficient in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu or Kannada language.
Akshay Prabhu, Customer Service Director, Amazon India said, “We are evaluating hiring needs in customer service organizations to meet the growing needs of consumers.” We estimate that customer traffic will increase in the next six months during the holiday season in India and around the world. The new associates joining us will work from home and office through our virtual customer service program and will play an important role in meeting the needs of consumers and providing them with an excellent experience.
