Airtel is reported to revise data benefits for all its existing broadband customers to further strengthen itself in competition with Jio Fiber. Airtel’s broadband service is called Airtel Xstream Fiber. Airtel has 4 broadbrand plans – Basic, Entertainment, Premium and VIP. Of these, only VIP plan comes with unlimited data benefits. Limited data is offered on other plans.

To avail unlimited data in any Airtel broadband plan other than VIP, the user has to pay an additional amount of Rs 299 per month. The basic plan of Airtel Extreme Fiber comes at Rs 799, with which 150GB of data is available per month. At the same time, an entertainment plan of Rs 999 comes with 300GB data per month, Rs 1,499 premium plan comes with 500GB data per month. There is no news of changes in the prices of these plans.

A report by OnlyTech said that now Airtel is preparing to give unlimited data on all broadband plans. But this offer will be for existing customers only. According to the report, the conversion process has started for all existing Airtel broadband customers. Recently Jio Fiber has changed its portfolio to offer ‘Unlimited Data’ with plans starting at Rs 399, but its capping is 3300GB.

It is believed that Airtel’s move to offer unlimited data on all broadband plans is to prevent its existing customers from migrating.
