    Sensex and Nifty closed on green mark

    Mumbai: The stock markets closed with a slight uptrend on Thursday. The Sensex gained 39.55 points to 39,113.47 and the Nifty gained only 9.65 points to end at 11,559.25. IndusInd Bank shares were the biggest gainers on the Sensex at 6.59 per cent after the close of business. Apart from this, Mahindra & Mahindra, SBI, Axis Bank, HDFC, Sun Pharma and Maruti were also in the top gainers. On the other hand, shares of Kotak Mahindra, Reliance, Bajaj Auto and ONGC lost more than 1 percent.

    The stock market opened up on Thursday morning. The BSE Sensex opened with a gain of 219.61 points at 39,293.53. The NSE Nifty opened with a slight gain of 59.7 points at 11,609.30. The Sensex touched a high of 39,326.98 and a low of 39,046.94 in full-day trading. On Wednesday evening, the Sensex closed 230 points strong at 39,073.92 levels after trading closed. At the same time, the Nifty closed at 11,549.60 with a gain of 77 points.

    All other sectoral indices, except FMCG, IT, closed in green mark on Nifty. PSU bank shares and Nifty Auto gained more than 1 percent. IndusInd Bank, Mahindra and Mahindra, Tata Motors, SBI, Grasim Top Gainers and ONGC, Reliance, Bajaj Auto, Jill and Coal India were the top losers on the Nifty.
