New Delhi: The market capitalization of eight of the top 10 companies in the Sensex reduced by Rs 3,63,884.03 crore in the previous week combined. HDFC Bank suffered the most.
The Sensex lost 4,187.52 points, or 12.27 percent, during the week under review. During this period, Hindustan Unilever and ITC were the only two companies whose market capitalization has increased. HDFC Bank’s market capitalization fell by Rs 1,03,470.28 crore to Rs 4,83,720.15 crore during this period.
Apart from this, ICICI Bank’s market capitalization fell by Rs 65,853.55 crore to Rs 2,23,753.14 crore, Reliance Industries’ Rs 54,961.45 crore fell to Rs 6,46,732.07 crore, HDFC’s Rs 54,479.15 crore to Rs 3,03,722.13 crore, Kotak Mahindra Bank’s Rs 39,626.31 crore. Broken down to Rs 2,41,611.45 crore.
ITC has joined the top 10 Sensex companies in the past week. TCS rose to the top in terms of market capitalization. This was followed by Reliance Industries, HDFC Bank, Hindustan Unilever, HDFC, Bharti Airtel, Infosys, Kotak Mahindra Bank, ICICI Bank and ITC respectively. TCS once again overtook Reliance Industries in terms of market capitalization on Wednesday last week.
