New Delhi: The market capitalisation of six of the top 10 Sensex companies fell by Rs 29,487 crore last week. The market capitalisation of Bharti Airtel declined the most during this period. The market capitalisation of TCS, HDFC, Hindustan Unilever, HDFC Bank and Reliance Industries also declined in the week ended Thursday.
However, the market capitalisation of Infosys, Bajaj Finance, Kotak Mahindra Bank and ICICI Bank increased during this period. During this period, the market capitalisation of Bharti Airtel decreased by Rs 10,692.9 crore to Rs 2,97,600.65 crore. TCS’s market capitalisation declined by Rs 10,319.06 crore to Rs 8,09,126.71 crore.
HDFC’s market capitalisation declined by Rs 5,162.75 crore to Rs 4,10,062.89 crore, Hindustan Unilever’s market capitalisation fell by Rs 1,515.37 crore to Rs 4,86,617.28 crore, HDFC Bank’s market capitalisation fell by Rs 1,068.34 crore to Rs 6,66,914.4 crore and Reliance Industries’ market. Capitalisation reduced by Rs 729.01 crore to Rs 9,41,693.57 crore. In contrast, Infosys’ market capitalisation rose by Rs 4,471.59 crore to Rs 3,39,287.61 crore, Bajaj Finance’s market capitalisation rose by Rs 5,863.46 crore to Rs 2,93,666.38 crore, Kotak Mahindra Bank’s market capitalisation rose by Rs 956.14 crore to Rs 3,22,542.94 crore and ICICI The bank’s market capitalisation increased by Rs 541.78 crore to Rs 3,53,766.96 crore.
Reliance Industries remained at the top in terms of market capitalisation. This was followed by TCS, HDFC Bank, Hindustan Unilevers, HDFC, ICICI Bank, Infosys, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Bharti Airtel and Bajaj Finance respectively. The Sensex lost 86.62 points, or 0.21 percent, during the week under review. The markets were closed on Friday due to Maha Shivaratri.
