    Reliance Industries leads in market capitalization

    Market capitalisation increased for eight of the top 10 companies

    New Delhi: Market capitalisation of eight of the country’s top 10 companies increased by Rs 1.09 lakh crore last week. Reliance Industries was the biggest gainer in this. Apart from this, the market capitalisation (M-cap) of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Hindustan Unilever, ICICI Bank, Bharti Airtel and Bajaj Finance has also increased.

    HDFC Bank and HDFC were the only companies in the week ended on Friday with a decline in market capitalisation. During this period, the market capitalisation of Reliance Industries increased by Rs 33,534.56 crore to Rs 9,42,422.58 crore.

     The market capitalisation of Hindustan Unilever increased by Rs 20,619.84 crore to Rs 4,88,132.65 crore. The market capitalisation of TCS increased by Rs 17,673.73 crore to Rs 8,19,445.77 crore.

    Besides, Bharti Airtel increased its market capitalisation by Rs 13,911.68 crore, Bajaj Finance by Rs 8,014.92 crore, ICICI Bank by Rs 6,138.65 crore, Kotak Mahindra Bank by Rs 5,666.73 crore and Infosys by Rs 3,832.8 crore. At the end of the week, the market capitalisation of these companies stood at Rs 3,08,293.55 crore, Rs 2,87,802.92 crore, Rs 3,53,225.18 crore, Rs 3,21,586.80 crore and Rs 3,34,816.02 crore, respectively.

    HDFC Bank’s market capitalisation, on the other hand, declined by Rs 12,409.1 crore during this period and stood at Rs 6,67,982.74 crore. Market registration of HDFC also decreased by Rs 777.55 crore and stood at Rs 4,15,225.64 crore. Reliance Industries topped in terms of total market capitalisation.
