The Aircraft Regulatory Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has banned all types of commercial international flights till further orders due to the Corona epidemic. This order will be effective till 31 December. Under this order, not only commercial flights from India to other countries, but also commercial flights coming from other countries are banned.
Commercial international flights have been banned since 23 March due to the Corona epidemic this year. However domestic flights were also banned at that time which was resumed from 25 May.
Under the order issued by DGCA, it will not be applicable to international all-cargo operations. Apart from this, special approval has been given by DGCA for certain flights, they will also continue. As such, air services will continue under the Vande Bharat Mission. According to the DGCA order, some international scheduled plots can be cleared on select routes.
At present, when talking about domestic flights, air carriers are operating at 70 percent of their full capacity compared to the time before Corona. The lockdown was imposed across the country due to the Corona epidemic and all flights were also closed. Approval for domestic flights was received from May 25 but equivalent to 33 per cent of flights in the pre-coronation time. After this, on 26 June, the Civil Aviation Ministry raised this limit to 45 per cent. After this, it was increased to 70 percent last month.
