    All New Mahindra Thar gets 4 star rating in Global NCAP crash test

    The new 2020 Mahindra Thar, which was very popular before the launch, is now once again in the headlines for safety. All New Mahindra Thar has achieved a rating of 4 stars in the Global NCAP crash test. It has got a rating of 4-4 stars in both adult safety and child safety. With this rating, the 2020 Mahindra Thar has become the safest off-roader in India.

    The version of the new Mahindra Thar tested in the crash test had ABS with dual airbags and EBD which are the Basif Safety features. Testing took place in Germany. The adult dummy scored 12.52 points out of 17 in the crash test, while the child dummy scored 41.11 out of 49. GNCAP says that dummy head and neck protection was good in adult crash. While the protection for the driver’s chest was sufficient, there was also good protection for the passenger sitting with the driver. The body shell of the vehicle remained stable in the crash.

    The new Mahindra Thar was launched in October 2020. Its ex-showroom price starts from Rs. 9.80 lakhs. Its safety features include ESP, built in interior roll cage, dual front airbags, rear parking assist, ISOFIX for children’s safety, ABS with EBD, brake assist, vehicle over speed warning, speed sensing front door locks, seat belt reminder, Includes 3 point seat belts for rear passengers.
