New Delhi: Traders across the country are disappointed with the third Stimulus package announced today by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT), an organization that claims to represent around seven crore small traders in the country, has said this.

CAT national president BC Bhartia and general secretary Praveen Khandelwal issued a statement here saying that this is a neglect of the business community. He said that it is a matter of great regret that in the three incentive packages announced by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, not a single penny has been allocated for traders. This is not only the step-motherly treatment of businessmen, but also against the movement like Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Vocal. He says that who can be more local than the merchants of India, who are directly connected with 135 crore people of the country.

The two leaders said that the businessmen of the country are facing such gross neglect. These traders are doing more than 60 lakh crores business every year and are always at the forefront of any epidemic or natural disaster. Traders are suffering the most from the Corona epidemic and have been expecting some kind of relief package from the government since the first announcement of the stimulus package. But to no avail and the Finance Minister has no sympathy with businessmen. It is ironic that all other sectors of the economy have been adequately accommodated in all three packages, but traders are left to cry on their own.
