In this way he extracted a net amount of Rs 7,366 crore from the Indian capital markets. Earlier in March, FPIs pulled out a record Rs 1.1 lakh crore from the Indian capital markets.
In April, he made a withdrawal of Rs 15,403 crore. Morningstar India senior analyst manager Shodh Himanshu Srivastava said, “The withdrawal in May is lower than April. The reason for this is that FPI infused $ 2.3 billion into Indian stock markets on the same day in the month of May 8. “He said this was because of the attractive valuation, against the dollar, after a big ‘correction’ in Indian stocks this year.”
